Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Latvia were established on 22 August, 1992.
On 24 November 2011, Armen Ghasaboghlyan was appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Armenia.
On 17 August 2022, Hovhannes Igityan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia (residence in Vilnius) presented his credentials to Egils Levits, President of Latvia.
Visas to Armenia
Latvian citizens do not need a visa to enter Armenia.
The citizens of Latvia do not have to present visa to enter Armenia in the status of visitant or tourist (maximum length of stay without visa are 180 calendar days in the same year). For entering Armenia they must present a valid Latvian passport. Non-citizens of Latvia need a visa to enter Armenia.
